Healing often gets talked about like it’s about always searching for some new insight. Some new realization. Some new skill. Some answer we haven’t found yet. Some new….something. And sometimes, yeah, that’s true.
But even more so? The work is finally trusting what you already knew. The feeling you kept talking yourself out of…the shift you noticed but couldn’t explain…the part of you that said “something isn’t right here”…that part of you that knew what you needed (or wanted)…the part of you that knew what was hurting…the part of you that knew what wasn’t working anymore…the gut feeling, the instinctual knowing of your nervous system. The wisdom of your body…what some part of you already knew.
And it’s one of the hardest parts of healing. Not finding yourself, but coming back to yourself. Listening to yourself. Trusting yourself. It’s finally giving yourself permission to believe what you’ve known all along.
