The inspiration for Waypoint comes from a nautical term that I learned while growing up in Rhode Island and sailing in the summers with my family. A waypoint is a reference point that helps you know where you are and where you are going. It is often a turning point. My goal as a provider is to meet you where you are and then, through careful evaluation and observation, navigate a course of treatment that is specific to your child and family. I hope to be a turning point for your family.
The foundation of my practice is the belief that every client is unique. Each child is a unique individual, and each treatment plan needs to be tailored to that individual. Symptoms and diagnoses are only part of the equation. My approach goes beyond symptom management. It explores underlying biological, lifestyle, and environmental factors that can compromise mental health, such as inflammation, gut health, genetics, and nutrition.
