Hey guys! I appreciate all the support and referrals I get from you all! "Word of mouth" is the very best type of referrals.
When you go somewhere new, its nice to know you have a friend that had a great experience.

For me personally, with regards to my practice, I have a hard time promoting myself. I have been blessed to help many patients. I have also been humbled when not being able to help someone. I have seen a lot things over 25 years of practice.

Sometimes the scariest type of referral is when someone comes in saying "My friend came to you and they have never had a migraine again after 2 adjustments!"

Im like... Oh boy! I hope thats not what you're expecting to happen.

The truth is our bodies are made to heal.

I am blessed to have learned some incredible safe and gentle protocols that can increase range of motion, reduce / sometimes removes soft tissue adhesions or dysfunctions, and reduce/ sometimes remove interference between the brain>spine>nerve>body.

Essentially I'm connecting the dots and letting the amazing living tissue of your body to do the rest.

Some refer to it as an "innate" ability of our body to reorganize and heal.

Bat Races!

I bet you didn't know that I'm a bat races expert. Well, I think a patient this morning thought so.

Turns out it was a misunderstanding.

She asked: "Do you believe in bat races".
I said: "Bat races? What's that??"
I'm curious.

She laughed and said "No, no haha, back braces" 😆

Me: Ohhhhhh

Too keep it brief. Back braces should be used as a tool not a crutch. I certainly think there is a time and a place for them but you never want to rely on them so much that you lose structural integrity. Your spine and supporting muscles and tissues really need to have healthy tone to keep us going biomechanically.

Ronan (Bert) and cast will be performing Mary Poppins Jr at Lone Oak Intermediate School for two nights only and you don’t want to miss it.

Tickets are $10 and $5 (10 and under) at the door and it’s first come first serve seating.

Hey!
This Thursday evening, February 5th, Ronan is in an All-State children's choir concert in Louisville.

I will be out of the office Thursday afternoon and Friday. Ill be back to normal hours on Monday February 9th.

I have opened up some additional hours tomorrow (Wednesday ) and I am available a few hours Thursday morning before I head up to Louisville.

Oh boy! Looks like all the snow we wanted over the past couple of years is all coming at once this weekend!
I'm picturing in my mind, Elsa from the movie Frozen. She bursts out through her castle doors belting "Let it snow..."
You may recall that epic moment. Oddly enough, what I recall the most is her awesome alignment. Some refer that as posture. Head up, shoulders back, the center if her head is over her pelvis vertically, and a lower lumbar arch.

Elsa is perfectly in the anatomic position. That is what I want you to imitate this weekend if your stuck at home. Your homework is 3 Elsa's per hour. Hold the possition up to 20 seconds and take a big inhale and a big exhale. During waking hours that is...

So every 20 minutes. Stand tall, arch your back, chest up, arms back and with your head held high, belt "the cold doesn't bother me anyway"!

Okay, the last part is optional.

If you have not seen that movie. Think Jack , in the movie Titanic, on the front of the boat. "I'm king of the world!"

In other words.
Dont sit like a banana!

Do your Elsa's... or Jack's.

Your spine and joints will thank you!

Hey! A patient just asked for some stretching tips. I thought I would share some concepts with you.
I prefer to call it "spine and joint hygiene "
You guessed it. Posture work and stretching should be a part of your daily routine. Just like brushing your teeth.

We spend hours daily in repetitive and challenging biomechanical positions at work. Help undo the damage with some daily spine and joint hygiene.

I'll go into more specifics in the near future with pictures and or video.

***This my professional opinion. Consult your professional Healthcare team as they know your body. Anything suggested should be done within the point of pain. Stop and consult a professional if your having pain.

#1 Its all connected. Learn to move all movable joints in all their ranges of motions daily. For example. All shoulder stretches can also help your neck. Calf and leg stretches will also help your lower spine.
Move them all.

#2 Dynamic then static. That means warm up with motion before holding a stretch. Think back to PE when you did wind mills with your arms or butterfly's while sitting with your knees bent.
Static is a stretch then hold it.

In other words. Warm up the area before a stretch and hold (15-60 seconds). I dont recommend bouncing.

#3. Dont over think it. Work on yourself at least twice a day. When you get up and when you go to bed. If possible, work it into your mid day break.

There's solid reasoning to the phrase "move it or lose it"
