🌿🥒 Cold Infusion for a Hot Summer Day 🥒🌿
Took some time today to be outside - I needed a lovely little herbal infusion for replenishment during the hot months.
What I used:
• 1 tbsp oat straw
• 1 tbsp spearmint
• ½ tsp Celtic sea salt
• ½ lemon, sliced
• ½ lime, sliced
• 3 cucumber slices
• 4–6 cups filtered water
How to make it:
Add the oat straw and spearmint to a glass jar. Pour in 4–6 cups of cold, filtered water, cover, and place in the refrigerator to infuse for 6–12 hours.
When you’re ready to drink, add the lemon, lime, and cucumber. Give it a good shake or stir and serve chilled over ice if you’d like. 🧊
The oat straw makes this a lovely mineral-rich herbal infusion, while spearmint and cucumber bring that refreshing, cooling quality. A little Celtic salt adds electrolytes, and the citrus gives it a bright summer flavor. 🍋🌱
Perfect for a slow day outside, a creek walk, or anytime you’re spending a hot day in nature.
Keep refrigerated and enjoy within 24–48 hours.
