🌊 Back from the River of No Return 🌊
I’m home with a heart full of gratitude, awe, and a little bit of river sand still hiding in my gear.
What an extraordinary journey.
Six days on the Main Salmon River reminded us that there is a different rhythm to life—one shaped by moving water, canyon walls, morning light, star-filled skies, shared meals, laughter, quiet moments, and the courage to let go and be carried.
I am deeply grateful for every courageous, curious, beautiful soul who said yes to this adventure. Thank you for showing up fully—for the rapids, the unknown, the early mornings, the vulnerability, the laughter, and for one another. Watching this group become a community was one of the greatest gifts of the trip.
And to our incredible guides: thank you. Your skill, patience, humor, hard work, and deep knowledge of the river allowed us to relax into the experience and trust the journey. We could not have done this without you.
We moved through the Five Elements together—Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water—using the river as our teacher and our own bodies as the landscape to explore.
We practiced yoga beside the water.
We slept and breathed beneath the stars.
We received acupuncture and craniosacral therapy.
We ate nourishing food.
We laughed so much.
We faced rapids.
We soaked in hot springs.
We slept under the Milky Way and shooting stars.
And somewhere along the way, I think we all discovered a little more of what it means to return to ourselves.
The Salmon is called the River of No Return.
Perhaps that’s because once you’ve traveled through a place like this, you don’t return quite the same.
Thank you to everyone who made this journey possible and to each person who shared their beautiful energy with us.
My heart is still on the river. ❤️
Until the next confluence...

🌿 Let the River Guide You Home
Join us this September for a soul-deep adventure you’ll never forget.

This immersive wellness journey is a guided passage back to your natural rhythm. Over several days on the river, you’ll float through pristine landscapes and ancient rock walls, carried by waters that have never been dammed—mirroring the untamed current of your own inner wisdom, often buried beneath the noise of modern life.

Like the Salmon, whose lifecycle depends on returning to its origin, you too are invited to travel upstream—against the flow of daily distractions—to your source.

This is more than a retreat. It is a remembering.

A return to your body.

A reconnection with community—through shared meals, laughter by the fire, and sacred silence under the stars.

And a reunion with the wild—that part of you that still knows how to flow.

Join us on the River of No Return. You may never come back the same—but you will return home to yourself.

Celebrate National Dog Day by treating yourself to a relaxing cuddle session with your best furry friend! Research shows having pets (and in particular dogs) can boost our mood, immune system, and diversify our microbiome. They also increase our average daily exercise and encourage us to be social with daily walks, positively effecting our overall longevity. This is a shameless shout out to my favorite fur baby, Ymir, who is helping me explore Pagosa and who always makes my day a little brighter! 🐾

Practicing being present saves us from worry, doubt, anxiety, and fear. This is a daily practice. A moment to moment practice to bring ourselves back to the present moment. Back to our bodies and our breath. It is in our nature to look forward to the future, to the possibility of “it” being better or worse. And to make the appropriate preparations to ease or enhance our experience. But so often we miss this moment in our preparation for the next. We miss the magic of now and the fleeting beauty of those special moments with the ones we love in our life. If you are struggling with anxiety, stress, worry, doubt, fear or trouble focusing acupuncture can help. It can align the aspects of your being to focus the mind in the body, settle your nervous system, and help you land into this moment.

Confluence Healing comes from the idea that river confluences are special places where people have always gathered to meet, trade ideas and goods, heal, and wash away the dirt. At a confluence, the river itself becomes much larger and stronger than its individual parts. In that way, I believe that sometimes we need others to help us get through life’s struggles, to help us become more than what we thought we could be.

Sometimes it's simply an idea, a kind word, a nudge, or even a little poke (in the right place) that gets us back on our path. Sometime we just need our issue seen through a different lens.

The confluence is of human experience; mine and yours. Where we meet, discuss, and use the tools we have gathered to work out the issue. I am not here to fix you. I am here to help you evolve past your previous self, your previous pain, the previous version of you that felt powerless. I walk alongside you on your journey to rediscover health and I can help ease the pain and discomfort. But only you can heal yourself and stop the patterns that led you to this place of dis-ease. I use open frank discussion to discover where and when the issues began and to open the mind to a new potential future. Bodywork and acupuncture to free the tissue from stagnation and to release trapped emotions. Herbal therapies can help reestablish gut health or hormonal balance. Nutritional counseling can give you back the freedom to walk a path of health on your terms.

Or you can just enjoy the relief of pain, better sleep, and regulated emotions that acupuncture is proven to help with.

If you need help and you are in Jackson, let’s see what we can do together.

Did you know that acupuncture can treat scars? * * This method is called “surround the dragon” and I’m using it on my scars from my recent leg surgery. * Scar tissue may cause pain and potentially lead to lingering feelings of pain or numbness as a result of blockages in the meridians and reduced blood flow. By increasing blood flow to the area with the insertion of fine needles, the obstruction can be cleared, adhesions softened and reduced, and pain eliminated. * In a 2014 study done on a 48 yr old woman suffering from severe pain emanating from scar tissue, her pain was successfully reduced from a 7 to a 1 or 2 on a pain index after 8 treatments using this method. * Moxabustion is another method used in the treatment of scar tissue. In this method, Moxa or mugwort is burned near the skin bringing warmth and movement into the tissue, thereby increasing blood and oxygen in the area. * Both methods are a great cost effective, non invasive, non toxic, and non addictive way to treat scars. *
