Yes, cell service is down and internet is limited.

UPDATE3: Internet feed and cellular backhaul fibers appear to be back online as of 8pm. If you continue to experience any issues tomorrow morning, contact your cellular or Internet provider.

Sometimes some other equipment needs to be reset after restoration.

UPDATE 2: the break has been located by Lumen, and crews are on site. Expected ETR (estimated time to repair) is sometime between 9pm this evening and 1am.

UPDATE 1 : Lumen has confirmed that there is an issue (probably a cut) with the fiber between Bayfield and Durango, so it is affecting Bayfield area cellular and Lumen DSL as well. They are still isolating the cut and won't have Estimated Time to Repair (ETR) until it has been found and assessed. Stay tuned for more updates.

Archuleta County Broadband Services Management Office is tracking an apparent outage of the main fiber backhaul out of Archuleta County owned by Lumen (formerly CenturyLink). This fiber link handles most of the broadband services in Archuleta County as well as cellular tower backhaul services. The issue occurred at approximately 10:30 AM, and as as of right now the actual cause is unknown, but investigation is ongoing. More will be posted here as information becomes available.
