Moving our bodies is so important to manage not only physical health but the toll that emotions and stress are taking on us right now.

Today I am getting back in the game after a surgery that sidelined me a few weeks ago. My workouts will start slow, but I won't let that limit me from getting the benefits of exercise...the stress reduction, the release of "feel good" endorphins, and the improved ability to regulate my emotions.

In changing up my routine, I found a ton of YouTube videos that can be streamed and will meet any fitness level. So try something today whether it's low impact cardio, strength training, yoga or chair stretching.

Take a quick break from work at home. Have your teen use their lunch hour or break period. Just move your body. It will thank you!

Usually snow does not create happy feelings in me. Maybe you also feel the dread I do in winter.

But this year with so many of us working and learning from home, we can pause and find beauty in the snow outside our windows and not see it as a nuisance. And we can be grateful for all the little things in the middle of the hardship that this year has been.
