🚀 She finished elementary school at just five years old!

Meet Adhara Pérez Sánchez, a young girl from Mexico City whose remarkable academic journey has captured attention around the world. Reports say she was already studying for a master’s degree at just 11 years old. 🎓🌟

Adhara was diagnosed with autism at the age of three and faced bullying at school. But despite those challenges, she continued pursuing her education and developing her abilities.

According to reports, a center for gifted children measured her IQ at 162—slightly higher than the often-estimated scores of 160 associated with Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking. However, neither scientist ever took a formal IQ test, so those figures are estimates rather than confirmed scores. 🧠✨

Adhara has also worked with the Mexican Space Agency to inspire girls to explore mathematics and engineering, encouraging more young minds to believe in their potential. 🌎🔬

And her biggest dream? To reach NASA one day and pursue her passion for space. 🚀🌌

Community Alert

The Palatine Police Department is sharing the following information to keep residents informed and encourage awareness in our community.

On October 22, 2026, at approximately 3:30 p.m., two individuals were reported going door-to-door in the area of South Stonington Drive, claiming to represent a natural gas utility company and asking residents for permission to enter their homes to conduct inspections.

The individuals wore identification badges associated with different companies and provided different utility company names when asked. They reportedly left the area without gaining entry into any residences.

Similar incidents involving individuals claiming to represent utility companies have occurred in this area in the past.

A few reminders for residents:
1. Verify credentials: Solicitors conducting business in the Village of Palatine are required to obtain a license through the Police Department and wear their issued photo ID badge while soliciting. Ask to see their badge and verify their legitimacy if you have concerns.
2. Protect your home: Contact the utility company directly using an official phone number to verify unexpected service visits. Never feel pressured to allow an unexpected visitor inside your home.
3. Know the rules: Soliciting is subject to Village regulations, including restrictions on permitted hours and soliciting on Sundays and holidays.
4. Report suspicious activity: If you observe suspicious individuals, vehicles, or behavior, please call 911 to report it.

The individuals were last seen leaving in a dark blue Nissan Altima.

Although the individuals’ intentions have not been confirmed, we encourage residents to remain aware of their surroundings and share this information with neighbors who may benefit from the reminder.
