👨‍🍳🥸 CULINARY DAY: We Mustache You a Question… Can You Handle the Flavor Face-Off?! 🥸👩‍🍳

Today we celebrated our amazing Culinary Team for Assisted Living Week! Of course, we had to dress the part — chef hats, mustaches, and enough “I mustache you a question…” jokes to last us until next year.

This afternoon, we decided to see just how good those culinary taste buds REALLY are with our FLAVOR FACE-OFF!

Our culinary team was blindfolded and given different foods and drinks to taste. Their mission: GUESS WHAT IT IS! Sounds easy… until you can’t see what you’re eating! We had some impressively close guesses…and a few answers that had us wondering what in the world their taste buds were telling them!

But we couldn’t let the culinary team have all the fun! Our residents jumped into the competition and put their taste buds to the test, too! ❤️

Some rounds went to Culinary, some went to our residents, but when the final flavors were tasted, our Flavor Face-Off Champions were ROSE & SHELL! 🏆👏🎉

Between the mustaches, mystery foods, laughs, and friendly competition, Culinary Day was definitely CHEF’S KISS! 🤌💋👨‍🍳

A huge thank you to our Culinary Team for everything you do to keep our residents well-fed, happy, and coming back for seconds! 💛

🌮🌮 NACHO AVERAGE ALF WEEK TREAT! 🌮🌮

Brooke with VITAS Hospice absolutely knocked it out of the park for our staff today! 💛 She set up an AMAZING nacho & taco bar with all the toppings to celebrate our amazing culinary staff today.

From the delicious food to the adorable decorations, you could see just how much time, thought, and effort Brooke put into making our staff feel extra special and appreciated during Assisted Living Week. 🥰

Brooke, THANK YOU for spoiling our team and helping us celebrate the people who give so much to our residents every single day. We appreciate you and VITAS Hospice more than you know! 💛

Please help us congratulate Iyonna, our September Employee of the Month! 🎉👏

If you know Iyonna, you know she is ALWAYS on the go! 🏃‍♀️💨 You hardly ever see her standing still because she is constantly checking on our residents, making sure their needs and wants are taken care of, and looking for what she can do next.

Iyonna is dependable, caring, hardworking, and an amazing team player. ❤️ Her dedication to our residents does not go unnoticed, and we are so thankful for everything she brings to the Vintage Care family.

🍦💛 A SWEET TREAT FOR ALF WEEK! 💛🍦

A huge THANK YOU to Stacy with Pinnacle Home Health for treating our staff to an ice cream bar today in celebration of Assisted Living Week!

With ice cream and plenty of yummy toppings to choose from, our team had no problem building the perfect sundae!

🧻✨ AMERICA’S NEXT TOP WRAPPER — Vintage Care ! ✨🧻

We continued celebrating our amazing Activities Department today with a challenge that had everyone laughing!

Our residents split into two teams and were given one mission: design a fabulous outfit for our Activities Director and Activities Assistant using nothing but toilet paper and paper towels! 👗🧻

The residents were the creative directors, giving instructions to the St. Johns nursing school students, who helped bring their visions to life. We absolutely LOVED watching the teamwork, creativity, and hilarious ideas come together!

Then it was time for the RUNWAY! Our Activities Department strutted their stuff and modeled their one-of-a-kind creations while staff and our outside vendors served as the judges.

🏆 And the title of America’s Next Top Wrapper goes to… ELLIE’S TEAM! 👏🎉

And what better prize for our winning residents than… ROLLS OF TOILET PAPER! 😂🧻 Because obviously!

Thank you to our nursing students for being such great sports and helping our residents bring their designs to life. Today was full of laughter, teamwork, creativity, and FUN — exactly what our Activities Department brings to Vintage Care every day! 💚💛

🌈💚 NEON DAY at Vintage Care! 💛🩷

Today we turned the brightness ALL the way up as we celebrated our amazing Activities Department for Assisted Living Week! 🎉

Our staff and residents understood the assignment — NEON EVERYTHING! 😎✨ Bright clothes, crazy hats, colorful tutus, wild glasses… the brighter and crazier, the better!

Just look at these pictures… there’s definitely no blending in at Vintage Care today! 😂🌈
