🎉 Congratulations to Nichelle Nesmith, CNA, for being selected as our April 2026 Whatever It Takes Champion! 👏 When we asked her why she decided to become a CNA, Nichelle said that after caring for her parents, she discovered firsthand the compassion, patience, and dedication it truly takes to care for others. Following the passing of her father in September, she realized that helping people was more than something she enjoyed — it was something that came natural to her, as if she had been called to do it all her life. 🩺 Becoming a CNA not only allowed her to continue serving others, but also helped her better understand what her father experienced during his journey. While it could not change the outcome, it brought her comfort, understanding and peace throughout the process. For her, being a CNA is more than a job — it is a calling from God. 💙

Randy Velazco is from Cuba and started his medical studies there in 1994. He continued nursing studies in Puerto Rico before coming to Florida. "I have always been driven by a curiosity to explore the healthcare field," he shared.

🩺 Naomi is one of our Nurses. She has been an RN since 1992 and was an LPN prior to that. She has mostly worked in skilled nursing facilities and also spent 9 years as a Hospice Nurse. She is glad to be part of our team here at Life Care, and we are so glad to have her! ❤️

💐 Each year, we set aside a special week to celebrate our amazing residents and associates and the role that skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities play in senior care.

We care for those who cannot care for themselves. We help rehab patients recover from illness or injury. And we do it all in a series of many moments... ☺️

From assisting a resident with getting dressed in the morning to providing meals, activities, medication administration, help with activities of daily living, and therapy as appropriate, our associates work together to create a full experience of care.

Join us this week as we celebrate with a variety of fun activities! 🎉
