Not all eye drops are treating the same problem 👁️

✨ Screen-time dryness → lipid-based tears like Refresh Mega-3
✨ Late-day tired dry eyes → Refresh Relieva PF
✨ Morning burning/gritty eyes → thicker gel or ointment tears overnight

And important: Lumify and “get the red out” drops are NOT dry eye treatments — they whiten the eyes, but they don’t fix the tear film.

There are so many talented surgeons and wonderful practices out there — we’re simply grateful for every patient who chooses to trust us with their vision 🤍👁️✨

Why many surgeons quietly stop getting their nails done 💅🏼👀

For me, it’s a mix of:
• Time — maintenance every 2–3 weeks adds up fast
• Expense — especially with a busy schedule
• And increasingly, concern about skin and allergy issues from gels/acrylates

So if you see a surgeon with simple natural nails… there’s usually a reason 😂

For many patients, the fear before the first retina injection is the hardest part. The reality? The procedure is quick, carefully numbed, and designed to help preserve vision from conditions like macular degeneration and diabetic eye disease. Most patients leave saying, “That was much easier than I expected.” 👁️✨

Becoming an eye surgeon takes an unbelievable amount of time… but looking back, I’d choose this path again every single time. 👁️✨

As an eye doctor, I started noticing more patients coming in with chronically itchy, irritated eyelids… and sometimes the trigger was completely unexpected: gel nail allergies.

The same acrylate chemicals used in many gel manicures can transfer from the hands to the eyelids and trigger allergic reactions like redness, itching, swelling, eczema, and irritation around the eyes.

A lot of people never connect the two.

And honestly? It’s one of the reasons I stopped doing gel nails myself.

For me, it wasn’t just about beauty anymore — it was the nail thinning, skin irritation, allergies, UV exposure, and constant damage underneath the polish.

You know that moment when you think you just need new glasses… and it turns out your eye is screaming for help? 👀

Blurry vision can come from way more than a prescription change:
• Cataracts making everything hazy
• Diabetes leaking into the retina
• Macular degeneration stealing central vision
• Glaucoma quietly damaging the optic nerve
• Dry eye making vision fluctuate all day

The part people don’t realize? A lot of these problems are actually treatable now. Some can even be reversed or dramatically improved if caught early enough.

That’s why eye exams are about a lot more than reading tiny letters on a wall.

Things that genuinely make eye surgeons stop mid-sentence 😅
Some eye problems are fixable. Some are time-sensitive. And some are the reason we say “please don’t ignore that” for a living.

The good news? A lot of vision loss is preventable if you catch it early enough. 👁️✨

Your eyes work for you every second of the day — and most people don’t think about them until something starts going wrong 👀

A few simple habits can protect your vision for years:
• Wear UV-blocking sunglasses ☀️
• Control diabetes and blood pressure
• Stop smoking 🚭
• Don’t sleep in contact lenses
• Take breaks from screens
• Get eye exams regularly
• STOP rubbing your eyes

Healthy vision is a privilege worth protecting.
