❤️ FREE ECG HEART SCREENING AT MCHS 🐅

Tiger families, here’s another opportunity to get your student-athlete ready and cleared for competition!

All incoming freshmen and new student-athletes are required to have an ECG/EKG on file before participating in athletics. Who We Play For will be at Martin County High School offering FREE heart screenings.

📅 Saturday, August 29
⏰ 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
📍 MCHS Gymnasium
❤️ Cost: FREE — donations accepted

The screening is painless, non-invasive, takes approximately five minutes, and each ECG is reviewed by a board-certified pediatric cardiologist.

Missed the recent free ECG screening hosted at South Fork High School? No worries!

Remember, beginning July 1, 2026, Florida law will require ECG screenings for incoming ninth-grade student athletes and any new student athletes. If you were unable to attend the event, please know that more screening opportunities will be scheduled throughout the school year.

Need an ECG sooner? An option is available through the St. Lucie Health Department (see flyer for details).

We’ll continue to keep families informed as additional screening dates are announced. ❤️

Beginning July 1, 2026, Florida law will require ECG screenings for incoming ninth-grade student athletes and any new student athletes. This event allows eligible students to meet the requirement early—at no cost.

Do you have a child who will be four years old on or before September 1, 2026? St. Lucie Public Schools’ VPK application window for the 2026-2027 school year will be open from January 6th to 20th, 2026.

❗Important note: VPK Title I and VPK Wrap Around applicants must follow all four steps in the application process to be considered for a seat with St. Lucie Public Schools. Registration does not guarantee a seat and our program is not first come, first serve. All applications will be accepted during our application window.
