There are conversations we have to be willing to have with our kids — even when they’re uncomfortable.
Talking about racism doesn’t create racism. Avoiding the conversation doesn’t protect children from it either.
Teaching our children to recognize racism, question stereotypes, understand history, and value people across racial and cultural differences gives them the language and awareness to navigate the world with empathy.
Kindness is beautiful.
But kindness without awareness isn’t enough.
So yes — teach your kids to be kind.
And teach them about racism, too.
What conversations are you having with your children about race?
Save this. Share it. Start the conversation.
