This past weekend, we rested. Really rested. Meredith and I gathered with our group of resters, each of us set the time aside in our own homes and came together for our live calls. Some of us needed deep stillness. Some needed permission to do less. Some needed company in it. And each person found their own way to the rest they were looking for.
That's the heart of it. There's no single right way to rest. There's only what you need. You move toward it, and see what happens.
We're learning together that rest isn't something you do once. It's a practice you return to, again and again, finding ways to bring it into daily life. And we noticed some beautiful unintended ripples, just from showing up to do something radical. Others are noticing what we're doing. Even though we didn't set out to, we're modeling this for our children, our family members, our parents, our friends. That means something. People got curious. Some even had others join in unexpectedly!
If you rested in your own way, wherever you were, we'd love to hear. What did slowing down show you?
