We are pleased to announce the appointment of Christy Doan, PharmD, MBA, as the Pharmacy Director at Southwest Healthcare Palmdale Regional Medical Center.

Christy brings over 17 years of experience across acute care and long-term acute care settings. Throughout her career, she has led key operational and clinical initiatives, consistently driving strong performance while maintaining regulatory compliance across all aspects of pharmacy operations.

Christy’s commitment to quality care and service will be a strong addition to our hospital as we continue to advance our clinical and operational excellence.

Southwest Healthcare Palmdale Regional Medical Center was a proud Platinum sponsor of the annual 'Help for Heroes' Celebrity Golf Tournament. It was a beautiful, slightly windy day, but the teams played well and had a great time supporting this organization! Donations to the organization directly benefit first responders and their families.

We have a double winner in a big way! Bobby, CNA in our Cardiac Care Unit, recently won Petal of the Year for 2025. A big accomplishment, but wait, he's not done yet! Bobby also secured a Petal 'Poppy' award for May 2026 as well!

Bobby reminds us all that healthcare is not only about medicine—it’s about humanity. He is always ready to help, consistently going above and beyond the call of duty. A true team player, Bobby never hesitates to take that extra step for his patients.

Don't miss out! No-cost ‘Hands-only’ CPR training on 'Sidewalk CPR Day' is tomorrow, Tuesday, June 2nd, from 1 to 5 p.m. outside the Emergency Department entrance under the portico located on the southwest side of the building. PRMC is one of many sites across Los Angeles County that will provide this training throughout the first week of June. This is a come-and-go event open to the public for a quick 10-minute training. Videos will also be available to watch.

Southwest Healthcare’s Palmdale Regional Medical Center (PRMC) will provide no-cost “hands-only” CPR training on Sidewalk CPR Day—Tuesday, June 2, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.—outside the Emergency Department entrance under the portico on the southwest side of the building. PRMC is one of many sites across Los Angeles County offering this training throughout the first week of June. This is a come-and-go event, open to the public between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m., featuring a quick 10-minute training. Videos will also be available to watch.

Learning “hands-only” CPR helps local emergency responders by addressing the first few critical minutes following cardiac arrest. Since the lungs and blood contain only enough oxygen to keep vital organs healthy for a short time, bystanders become heroes until emergency responders arrive on scene. With each chest compression using “hands-only” CPR, ordinary citizens can help maintain blood flow and give patients a much better chance of survival once responders arrive. Only 32% of victims receive CPR from a bystander. Don’t be a bystander in a cardiac emergency—be a lifesaver.
