Karen Ann Liseno
NEWARK: Died unexpectedly on June 24, 2021, at age 66 at her home. Karen Ann was born in Lyons, NY on November 5, 1954, to Albert and Margaret Policelli Liseno. After graduation from SUNY at Oswego, she lived her days quietly and successfully coping independently with mental health challenges. Family and friends enjoyed her ever present kindness and sweetness for she gave those who knew her a taste of God’s love. She is survived by her brother Larry (Corinne) Liseno of Sacramento, CA. Karen Ann is predeceased by her brother Dennis Liseno. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 9 (NOTE DATE CHANGE) at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Clyde. Entombment will be in the mausoleum of St. John’s Cemetery. Batavia: Pappert, James A.; died on Thursday, November 5, 2020 with his wife by his side, as a result of a boating accident in Old Forge, NY on September 12, 2020. Due to covid restrictions burial will be private in Palmyra Cemetery, Palmyra, NY. A celebration of Jim’s life will be announced and held at a later date. Jim was born on September 6, 1954 in Clifton Springs, NY the son of Donald and Jean Storms Pappert. He was a member of the Palmyra-Macedon Class of 1972. The funeral home proudly flies the United States Navy flag in honor of Jim’s service to our country. Jim and the former Shari Sailer were married on October 15, 1977 in Rapid City, SD. Jim had retired from R.R. Donnelly after 30 years of service. In his spare time Jim enjoyed hiking, fishing, traveling and photography. He always had a project in the works and relaxed by shooting pool or spending time with his grandchildren Luke and Mackenna.
Jim is survived by his wife Shari; son Rick (Katie) Pappert; father Donald Pappert; sister Linda (Jeff) Williams; brother Scott Pappert; grandchildren Luke and Mackenna Pappert; mother and father-in-law Joyce and Roland “Shorty” Sailer; sister-in-law Sandy Feickert; brother-in-law George Sailer and many nieces, nephews and longtime friends. He was predeceased by his mother Jean Storms Pappert.

PALMYRA: Marker, Dolores J., died on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at the age of 79. Family and friends are invited to call from 5-7pm on Tuesday, November 10 at the Robert L. Yost Funeral Home, Inc., 123 West Main Street, Palmyra. A prayer service will follow at 7pm. Covid-19 practices must be observed. Dolores was a longtime employee of Breen’s Market in Palmyra. She enjoyed knitting, taking classes at the Palmyra Library and routing for the Pittsburgh Steelers. When she was working, Dolores was known to dance and sing to whatever music might be playing. Dolores is survived by her daughter Bonnie Marker; son Larry Marker Jr.; grandchildren Kayla and Karinna; sisters Joan (Fred Trowbridge) Shaffer and Paulette (Russell Sonsotta) Cooper; brother Robert J. (Sandy) Pelz and several nieces and nephews.
