ABA Beginnings is a private consulting agency started to provide comprehensive services to children who are on the autism spectrum disorder and other developmental delays. Group training services to schools, day cares, pre schools and other parent organizations is also offered. Educational consultation to IEP teams and clinical consultation to BHRS teams. Consultation is provided to community pres

chools, home based programs, specialized training on ABA and other research based Autism strategies to BHRS staff and others working with our children. Areas that are addressed include communication training behavior management, strategies to increase independent life skills, social skills, transition to Kindergarten, potty training, feeding therapy, inclusion strategies. Services can be provided within schools and community daycares and preschools. Specializing in children ages 18 months 5 yrs of age, however, all ages can be assessed. Services may be accessed through private medical insurance, contracted through school districts, or private pay.

Openings for BCBA only consultation - evening and/or weekend.
Short term or longer term based on family need

Consultation for various parent training or direct work with child/adolescent in home routines, behavior support, teaching independent living skills, toileting, speech language/communication strategies, play skills, sibling interaction skills and other supportive skills for positive family and social interactions.

Openings for individual outpatient therapy - evening/weekends

Children/adolescents/early adults looking for supportive emotional and skill based services. To include skills for peer social interaction and the coping with the emotional challenges of peer interactions, ideas for flexible thinking/coping skills, self regulation strategies and other supports.

Private Insurance accepted. Clients with diagnosis other than Autism welcome as well!

This seminar will focus on the three Waivers that are managed by Lancaster County BHDS, as well as what Waiver funding is and what services are available once someone is enrolled in Waiver.

Jill Martin has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Millersville University. She has been working in the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities field for 31 years in a variety of roles with Lancaster County Behavioral Health and Developmental Services. Jill has been in her current role as a Program Planner/Evaluator for Intellectual Disability/Autism services for 12 years. Her primary responsibility is prioritizing and enrolling individuals in Waiver funding and reviewing annual service plans for compliance with Waiver regulations.
