Circadian Preference May Influence Heart Attack Risk.
Contrary to the common belief that early risers are the healthiest, researchers found that both "morning larks" and "night owls" had a 50% and 40%, respectively, higher long-term risk of heart attack than people whose natural sleep schedule fell between approximately 10 p.m. to midnight and 6 a.m. to 8 a.m.
