"Are you slouching? Sit up tall!"
Sound familiar? For Christine, her mother's words echoed throughout her life but it wasn't until she discovered the Gokhale Method that she truly understood why posture matters.
As a biology teacher and busy mother of two, Christine spent decades living largely in her mind and feels her body just followed along.
But as she writes in our new blog: "As you get older, your body begins to complain, and largely ignoring it doesn't work any more."
Through her Gokhale Method journey, Christine made a profound discovery that her slumped posture wasn't just physical. It was a reflection of her emotional state. How we carry ourselves shapes not just how we move, but how we feel about ourselves.
Now she is much at home with her body and this shows in this photo of her sitting comfortably; upright and relaxed.
💬 Did someone in your life tell you to "sit up straight" growing up? Just like Christine, so many of us carry those words with us for decades. But here's the real question, did it actually help, or did the slouch always come back? 😄
