Bulamu Healthcare expands to Zambia 🇿🇲

Last week, Bulamu Healthcare International signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Zambia, marking an important milestone as we prepare to extend our Maternal and Newborn Health (MNH) program to Zambia.

Signed by the Ministry of Health Zambia's Dr George Sinyangwe (center), Bulamu's CEO, Kuebler (left), and Bulamu's Vice President, Mackay Masereka (right), the MoU establishes the foundation for Bulamu to establish MNH operations in Zambia, with the ambition of reaching more than 300,000 mothers and newborns over the next three years.

This is an exciting new chapter in our mission to improve access to quality healthcare across Africa.

For the 4th year running, we're proud to sponsor and partner with the Association of Surgeons of Uganda (ASOU) on their Annual Surgical Camps! 🏥

With substantial support from Bulamu Healthcare, ASOU brings free, life-saving surgeries to communities across Uganda every year. Last year's camp in the West Nile Region reached over 3,500 patients, giving people access to surgical care they might never have received otherwise.

Bulamu Healthcare was well represented at the ASOU Fundraising Dinner on Friday, July 31, with a team led by our CEO, who was concluding his visit to Uganda.

We're grateful to be part of this journey and can't wait to see the impact of this year's camp. 💙

Today, Bulamu, the Ministry of Health Uganda, and Rotary International officially launched a comprehensive in-service newborn care training at St. Francis Hospital Nsambya.

The Rotary International-funded 4-week training has brought together 16 health workers from public health facilities across Uganda to strengthen their knowledge and practical skills in newborn care. After the training, participants will return to their health facilities and share the skills with their teams, extending the impact to more mothers and newborns nationwide.

This is one of the many initiatives Bulamu is implementing to improve Maternal and Newborn Health services in Uganda.
