Dominic lives with epilepsy and cerebral palsy. For years, his mother struggled to find the right nursing support. During that time, Dominic was unable to attend school, which impacted his health and social development.

After Dominic’s family moved last year, Aveanna Nurse Rose came into their lives! That moment was the start of a new chapter in Dominic's care journey. Nurse Rose’s care enables Dominic to safely attend school and makes it possible for his family to work. Rose provides expert care, comfort, and reassurance. With his Aveanna team by his side, Dominic continues to thrive at home and in his community.

Priscilla has been part of the Aveanna family since the day after she came home from the NICU. Born prematurely, she had difficulty gaining enough weight to prepare for the heart surgery she needed.

With the support of her family, Nurse Mariko, and her nutrition team at Aveanna Medical Solutions, Priscilla worked toward each milestone one step at a time. Together, they celebrated every goal she reached.

At the end of last year, Priscilla underwent her heart surgery. Today, she continues to grow, thrive, and reach new milestones at home surrounded by the people who love and support her most.

During NICU Awareness Month, we honor the resilience of babies like Priscilla and the unwavering strength of the families who stand beside them through every challenge and every triumph.

Today, on the 25th anniversary of September 11, we join the nation in honoring and remembering the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the countless acts of courage that emerged in the face of tragedy.

We pay tribute to the first responders, healthcare professionals, service members, and everyday heroes who selflessly answered the call to help others. Their strength, sacrifice, and unwavering compassion continue to inspire us decades later. We will forever hold in our hearts the memory of the lives lost and the sacrifices made on that day.
