Great article on practicing medicine fast vs. slow. My patients will tell you, I love taking time with them and treating the whole patient, not just one part at a time; though insurance reimbursement rates do not reflect that kind of quality care, making it harder for me to practice “slow medicine,” if I want to keep my practice open.

Today marks 19 years of marriage with my husband, George ❤️

We got married on April 27, 2007, and like any real journey, these years have held both beautiful highs and some very hard moments. Through it all, one thing has remained true — I love you deeply, and I’m grateful for you.

George, you have stood by me in ways that mean more than I can fully express. You believed in me and supported my dreams, especially when I decided to open my own practice in 2022. Watching you step into a completely new world and become such an incredible office manager, with no prior experience in the medical field, has been nothing short of amazing. You didn’t hesitate — you showed up, learned, adapted, and gave your all.

And then, just months later, we stepped into another life-changing chapter — becoming parents. Watching you grow into such an amazing dad has been one of the greatest joys of my life. The love, patience, and care you show every day mean everything to me, and even more to our daughter.

Juggling all of these changes hasn’t been easy, but you’ve handled it with strength, grace, and so much heart. That kind of support, loyalty, and partnership is something I never take for granted.

We’ve grown, we’ve been tested, and we’ve kept going. And today, I’m simply thankful for the life we’ve built and for the man you continue to be.
