The shortest verse in scripture, and the one that tormented me the most. For years I couldn’t make it fit; Jesus weeping over a death He could have prevented, while I stood at my mother’s grave asking the same question Mary and Martha asked: Lord, if only you had been here.

I knew logically the day would come.

The day I met grief.

Not as a concept, but as something real that walks into your home, sits beside you and changes you forever.

Of all the things I wish I could shield my daughter from, this is it. So instead, I’ll teach her how to meet him.

How to sit with him.
How to survive him.
And maybe…even how to befriend him.

These are the letters I’m writing her.

I love bodywork.

I love the table, the quiet, the intentional work of helping others pursue health and healing.

Some days I miss it. I miss the sound of your deep breaths as you let go of your tension, feeling your shoulders fall as your bodies finally let go of all its weight and stress. I miss your laughters of lightness and your tears of release. I cherish those of you who came to me as a client, but stayed with me as a friend.

But in this season of life my direction has shifted. These days, healing looks a little different.

Less time on the table, more time in my arms and in my heart.

I’ve been leaning into the rhythms of home, faith, and community as I’ve stepped into motherhood. And what I’ve found is beautiful.

Shores & Sage began with hands-on healing, and it’s growing into something deeper…healing that lives beyond the table.
