All the fun of the beach without the sunscreen. Beach Week brought the tropics right to our door for Flamingle and our residents came ready to party. Pink drinks, flamingo decorations and at least one very committed team member in a flamingo costume. This is everyday life at Grand Lodge and we would not have it any other way.

The Grand Lodge crew was on the move again, this time visiting the Nebraska Jewish Historical Society. The center highlights the lives of members of Omaha’s Jewish community and the impact they have had on the city of Omaha, dating back to the 1850s. Medical appointments can feel overwhelming, but with our on-site care coordination, you can skip finding transportation, parking, waiting and other hassles. Our podiatrist, Dr. John Weremy from Think Whole Person Healthcare, came to our community and was available for appointments throughout the day. Just one more thing you don’t have to worry about as a resident here.

Last month we celebrated a milestone here at Hillcrest Country Estates. Cottage 50 has been thoughtfully renovated and reopened as our second Dimensions™ Memory Care Cottage, joining Cottage 40 in serving those on the dementia journey who need long-term skilled care in a warm home-like setting. Families and guests joined us for an open house to tour the fully renovated cottage and learn more about what makes this approach to memory care so unique.

Located right on our campus, the Dimensions™ Cottages are the area's first licensed long-term care dementia program in a cottage home setting. Each cottage is home to up to 13 residents and offers 24-hour nurse coverage, a geriatric board-certified medical director and a person-centered approach that honors choices and respects dignity. Growing demand for memory care led us to open this second cottage and we are proud to extend this level of care to more families in our community.
