This Labor Day, we want to recognize the incredible healthcare professionals serving communities across Greater Nebraska.

Healthcare doesn’t stop for holidays, nights, or weekends. Every day, physicians, nurses, EMS professionals and countless others sacrifice time with their own families and friends to make sure Nebraskans can receive local care in the moments they need it most.

NeRHA Executive Director Jed Hansen was proud to attend the National Association of State Directors of Veterans Affairs conference alongside EPS provider WellHive’s Nadhal Eadeh and Senior Advisor in the Office of the Secretary of U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Howard Manuel. Jed spoke to attendees about the RHTP Program and External Provider Scheduling (EPS). NeRHA Executive Director Jed Hansen was invited to serve as a panelist during a national discussion at the National Rural Health Association's Leadership Conference on how State Rural Health Associations are responding to Medicaid rescissions. The panel highlighted strategies being implemented across the country to support rural providers and patients affected by changes in Medicaid eligibility and coverage. Nebraska Rural Health Association staff traveled to Washington, D.C. to participate in the National Rural Health Association's State Rural Health Association Leadership Conference alongside representatives from 30 other state rural health associations. The conference provided valuable opportunities to collaborate with rural health leaders from across the country, exchange best practices, and discuss emerging issues impacting rural healthcare. These discussions will help inform NeRHA's ongoing work supporting Nebraska's rural healthcare organizations and ensuring they remain prepared for evolving regulatory and funding landscapes.
