United Way of Northern California is partnering with Paradise Stronger to host a United We Prepare disaster preparedness workshop.
United Way of Northern California is partnering with Paradise Stronger to host a United We Prepare disaster preparedness workshop in Paradise on October 24, just weeks before the anniversary of the Camp Fire.
As the anniversary approaches, we want to take this opportunity to help community members prepare for future emergencies and feel more confident knowing what steps to take when disaster strikes.
During the workshop, we will walk through the five steps of disaster preparedness, discuss individual and household needs, and share practical ways to get ready for different types of emergencies.
Thanks to the support of United Way Worldwide (UWW) and Verizon, we’ll provide attendees with local emergency resources, a disaster go-bag to help them get started, and coffee and pastries during the workshop.
Through United We Prepare, United Way of Northern California is working alongside local partners to make disaster preparedness more accessible and help communities.
