UPDATE 5-24-26 โ ๏ธ The City of Paramount is actively monitoring the impacts of an oil pipeline leak that occurred upstream in East Los Angeles, Friday, May 22.
AS OF 5-24-26:
*The leak has been successfully controlled and shut off by emergency crews.
*County health and environmental teams are continuing to repair the pipe.
*While crude oil entered the LA River, no v***r has risen to the surface in Paramount.

*Crews hope to complete repairs by Tuesday, May 26

๐ Stay completely away from the riverbed and contaminated debris. Keep children and pets far away from the affected areas.
๐ Look out for vulnerable individuals who are more sensitive to air pollution, including older adults, children and those with asthma or breathing conditions.
