🏇🏆 AND THEY’RE OFF TO THE RACES! 🐎🎉

The competition was fierce, the cheers were loud, and the excitement was contagious as CareOne at Ridgewood Ave. kicked off our inaugural CORA Horse Racing Derby!

Our residents took the reins, winding their way toward victory as fellow residents cheered on their favorite horses! From Secretariat to Seabiscuit, every race brought excitement, laughter, and some friendly rivalry! 🐎📣

🥁 AND THE GRAND CHAMPION IS… JIM! 🏆🥇

With the legendary SEABISCUIT leading the charge, Jim raced his way into the winner’s circle, earning the championship title and some well-deserved bragging rights!

It was a winning day for everyone, filled with friendly competition, camaraderie, and plenty of horsing around!

Lucy’s passion for dementia care is rooted in seeing the person beyond the diagnosis and understanding that behavior is often a form of communication. Through her work with our residents, families, nurses, and team members, Lucy helps ensure that every individual is understood, supported, and empowered to maintain as much independence as possible.

Her dedication to advocacy, education, and truly person-centered care embodies the heart of our Harmony Village philosophy.

💙 Making a Difference Together!

We are incredibly proud of the CareOne at Ridgewood Avenue community for raising an amazing $3,200 for Camp Acorn as part of our annual Summer of Sharing initiative! 🎉

Even more special, a portion of the funds raised was used to purchase two adult tricycles for Camp Acorn attendees to enjoy, helping provide even more opportunities for recreation, independence, and fun! 🚲💙

This incredible accomplishment was made possible by the generosity and enthusiasm of our residents, team members, families, and community partners. A huge THANK YOU to everyone who participated, donated, and helped make it happen.

This is what Summer of Sharing is all about—coming together to make a meaningful difference in the communities we serve!

From carnivals and Grandparents Day brunches to themed celebrations, ice cream trucks, music, games, and so much more, our communities were filled with laughter, connection, and unforgettable moments all week long.

Today, on the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, the CareOne family pauses to remember the lives lost, the heroes who answered the call, and the families and communities forever changed by that day.

Twenty-five years later, we continue to honor the courage of our first responders, the selflessness of everyday Americans, and the spirit of unity that brought our nation together in the days that followed.
