Our speaker is Shannon Blume, PH.D. Senior Medical Science Liaison with AbbVie. She will be presenting a general overview of the Parkinson’s Disease state, including the development of motor and non-motor (gastrointestinal, sleep and other) symptoms, and treatment options. This is a patient education presentation and not focusing on any particular treatment or medications.

Our next support group meeting is Friday, October 27th at Atkins Porter Recreation Center from 1-3. Our speaker will be HCMC’s speech therapist Suzanne Jackson, MS; CCC-SLP. She will be speaking on swallowing as well as exhibiting aids for eating and drinking.

Food will be provided.
