Congratulations to North Lamar HOSA on earning first place in this year's healthcare project competition hosted by the Paris Regional Health Internal Medicine Residency Program!

We were proud to present the team with a $500 award in recognition of their outstanding work on this year's project focused on CT imaging.

You don’t have to have all the answers — just showing up can make a difference. Here are a few ways to start the conversation:

• Ask open-ended questions like, “How have you been feeling lately?”
• Listen without judgment or trying to fix everything
• Let them know you’re there for them
• Avoid minimizing their feelings (“it’ll be okay”)
• Encourage them to seek support if they need it

A simple message or conversation can mean more than you know. Remind someone they’re not alone. 💙
