📚👑 Celebrating National Literacy Day! 👑📚

What better way to celebrate National Literacy Day than by learning more about the fascinating life and history of Queen Elizabeth II!

We were delighted to have Bill Kennedy share his book, Queen Elizabeth II: Fashion and Style, with our residents. Bill shared interesting facts about her life, including her years of service and the incredible collection of outfits and accessories that became part of her signature style. 👗✨

One fact that especially surprised our residents was learning that Queen Elizabeth II was just 18 years old when she trained as a driver and mechanic during World War II. 🚗🔧

Residents loved looking through the beautiful photographs, learning something new, and celebrating the joy of reading together. ❤️📖

🍫🍪 Cooking Club Fun in Pathways! 🍪🍫
Our Spring Lake Pathways residents had a delicious time today making chocolate no-bake cookies! 😋 They absolutely love their Cooking Club with Shay and Gidget, and today was another sweet success!

Of course, the best part was getting to enjoy their homemade treats—and they made them even better by serving them with a scoop of ice cream! 🍦❤️

Nothing beats good food, great friends, and lots of smiles at Spring Lake! We love seeing our residents having so much fun creating, cooking, and enjoying time together! 🥰

🌍✨ Today was a very special day at Spring Lake! ✨🌍
We were so blessed to welcome Don Badgerley, Linda Deal’s son-in-law, to Spring Lake! Don shared a wonderful slideshow from his trip to Greece, giving our residents the opportunity to experience a little piece of Greece without ever leaving home! 🇬🇷💙

It was fascinating to see the beautiful sights and learn about the history of this incredible place—especially knowing that the Apostle Paul traveled throughout Greece and shared his teachings there. ✝️
Our residents were captivated by the pictures and stories, and it truly felt like we all took a little journey together. What an interesting, educational, and eye-opening experience!

Thank you, Don, for bringing Greece to Spring Lake and sharing your memories with us! We loved traveling with you! ❤️

This month, consider scheduling a routine checkup, talking with your healthcare provider about your personal risk factors and recommended screenings, learning about your family health history, and encouraging the men you love to do the same. 💙

💗🙏 Caring for One Another at Spring Lake 🙏💗

One of the many things that makes Spring Lake so special is the way residents continue to support and encourage one another. Our Benevolence Committee is a wonderful example of that spirit of community. 🌷

When a few members were unable to attend because they weren’t feeling well, the group came together to write thoughtful cards and make sure they knew they were being remembered. 💌

Residents also maintain a Prayer List, where names and special requests can be added and lifted up in prayer each day. ❤️

It’s a beautiful reminder of the kindness, compassion, and connection shared throughout the Spring Lake community.

🏙️ Exploring our Downtown Paris! 🏙️

Our adventure today was all about discovering new sights and new beginnings in our wonderful downtown Paris! ❤️ We had so much fun checking out all the new places to eat, grab a sweet treat, and enjoy everything our growing community has to offer.

And of course, we had to stop and see Bill’s brick! 🧱❤️ We were so excited to find it and make sure we got a picture! What a fun little piece of history and a special memory to add to our adventure!
It makes us so thankful to see our downtown coming to life with so many exciting new additions! 🎉 There’s always something new to discover, and we’re loving every minute of it!

💕 They’re Having Fun All on Their Own! 💕

We absolutely LOVE seeing how involved our residents are here at Spring Lake! 🥰 They don’t always need us to make the fun happen—they can create their own fun, too! ❤️

One of our newer residents, who is an incredible 98 years young, decided to teach some of her new friends how to play Triominoes! 🎲🧩 They had such a great time laughing, learning, and enjoying each other’s company.

And the best part? They’ve decided this was so much fun that Triominoes is now going to become an ongoing activity! 🙌
This is exactly what we love to see—our residents building friendships, sharing their talents, and making wonderful memories together. That’s what community is all about! 💕🏡

🌸 Meet Your Neighbor! 🌸

Our “Meet Your Neighbor” is always a big hit, and today we had the pleasure of getting to know more about Mary and Linda! ❤️
We discovered some really interesting things about both of them and learned that Linda was once a Barrel racer! 🏁 Now that’s something we never would have guessed! 😄

We also learned that Mary has a true love for her beautiful plants and flowers. 🌺🌿 She definitely has a green thumb!

We also took a little time to get to know one of our wonderful med techs, Bonnie! 💕 We learned that Bonnie has been here at Spring Lake for an incredible 19 years! She loves what she does and has spent her career caring for others in this line of work. What a blessing she has been to our community over the years!

It’s always so much fun learning the stories, talents, interests, and experiences that make each person at Spring Lake so special. We may live and work together, but there’s always something new to discover! 🥰🌷
