As we continue OCD Awareness Week, we’re sharing resources for anyone wanting to learn more about OCD or support someone living with it. OCD can affect people in ways others may not see, and learning more can help us respond with greater understanding and compassion.

The International OCD Foundation and NOCD offer educational information, screening tools, and guidance on finding specialized care. Whether you have questions about your own experiences or want to better understand a loved one’s, these resources can be a helpful starting point.

Online screenings do not replace a professional diagnosis, but they can help start a conversation about seeking support.

October 11–17 is OCD Awareness Week, a time to build understanding of obsessive-compulsive disorder and the people living with it.

OCD involves unwanted, intrusive thoughts and repetitive behaviors or mental rituals that a person feels driven to perform to ease distress. Many of these struggles happen silently and can interfere with everyday life.

At Stillpoint, we’re recognizing this week by encouraging education, compassion, and conversations that help reduce stigma.

Setting a boundary doesn’t have to mean having a big confrontation. Sometimes, it’s simply being honest about your time, your privacy, or how you’re willing to be treated.

A boundary focuses on what you can choose: what you take on, what you share, and when you step away.

If this feels unfamiliar, start small. You can be kind, care about others, and still have limits.

Love should feel safe. You deserve to speak freely, make your own choices, and be treated with respect.

This Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we’re reminding our community that abuse can include threats, isolation, emotional harm, and financial control. Everyone deserves a relationship where safety and dignity come first.

If you’re concerned about your relationship or someone you care about, support is available—even if you’re unsure whether what’s happening is abuse.

Your voice matters. Your experiences matter. Your safety matters.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. A reminder that everyone deserves to feel safe, respected, and supported in their relationships.

To anyone experiencing abuse: it is not your fault, and you deserve support. To those supporting someone: listening, believing them, and respecting their choices can make a difference.

You are not alone.

Before September ends, give yourself a moment to check in.

Think about the moments that brought you joy, the things that felt heavy, and what you learned about yourself along the way.

Reflection doesn’t have to lead to a big change or a list of goals. Sometimes, it simply helps you notice what you need more of as you head into a new month.

You might know that something feels off before you can explain why. And sometimes, instead of sitting with the feeling, we immediately start analyzing it, explaining it, researching it, or trying to make it make sense.

That can be a form of intellectualizing — using thinking and analysis to create a little distance from what we’re actually feeling.

Understanding yourself is a good thing. But sometimes insight isn’t the same as emotional processing.

You don’t always have to figure the feeling out right away. Sometimes the first step is simply noticing: What am I feeling? Where do I feel it? What does this feeling need?

Benny’s Friday reminder: Before you fill up your weekend, ask yourself what you actually need from it. A little quiet? Time with someone you love? A change of scenery? There’s no wrong answer.

Benny’s answer is a trip to the dog park, a new toy to chew up, and a long nap on the couch.
