Yet there may come a point when a disease cannot be cured. This is the purpose and mission of hospice care, to bring peace to those at the end of life by making sure they have the highest quality of life possible. In general, a patient with any life-limiting, progressive illness and a life expectancy of about six months or less may be appropriate for our services. It is important to know the particulars of hospice care, because there is a difference.
