“Why postpartum low back pain doesn’t just go away with time.”

A lot of moms are told that low back pain is just part of recovery after having a baby.

Sometimes it improves on its own.

But often, the demands of motherhood keep reinforcing the problem.

Think about how many times per day you:
👶 Pick up your baby
👶 Carry a car seat
👶 Lean over a crib
👶 Sit in feeding positions
👶 Carry a toddler on one hip

Your body has been through major physical changes, and then immediately gets asked to perform one of the most physically demanding jobs there is—being a parent.

If low back pain is still showing up months (or even years) after delivery, it may be a sign that your body isn’t moving and functioning as efficiently as it could.

You don’t have to simply “wait it out.”

Helping moms move better, feel stronger, and enjoy life with their kids is one of our favorite things to do.

What a postpartum visit actually looks like in our office 👶🤱

A lot of moms aren’t sure what to expect at their first visit after having a baby.

The truth? It’s usually much more relaxed than people imagine.

Here’s what a typical postpartum visit looks like:

✓ We talk about what you’re experiencing
✓ We discuss feeding positions, carrying habits, and daily stressors
✓ We evaluate how your body is moving
✓ We provide a gentle, individualized adjustment when appropriate
✓ We answer your questions

And yes…

💙 Your baby is welcome.
💙 We understand feeding breaks.
💙 We know life with a newborn isn’t always predictable.

Our goal is simple: help moms feel supported, heard, and functioning their best during one of life’s biggest transitions.

"If your shoulder keeps flaring up in the gym, this is why."

Most people assume shoulder pain means they need to stop lifting.

Often, that's not the real issue.

Your shoulder is designed to move, but it relies on your neck, upper back, rib cage, and shoulder blade to move properly too.

When one of those areas isn't doing its job, the shoulder ends up taking more stress than it should.

You might notice:
✔ Pain during overhead presses
✔ Discomfort with bench press
✔ Pinching when reaching overhead
✔ Reduced strength on one side
✔ Shoulder pain that keeps coming back no matter how much you stretch

The goal isn't always to stop training.

The goal is finding out WHY the shoulder keeps getting overloaded in the first place.

If your workouts keep aggravating your shoulder, it may be time to look beyond the shoulder itself.

What exercise seems to trigger yours the most?

"If your neck pain started after having kids, it's not a coincidence."

Between feeding, rocking, carrying car seats, holding babies on one hip, and constantly looking down at little ones, parenthood puts a tremendous amount of stress on your neck and upper back.

Many parents don't realize that:
✅ Feeding positions often place the neck in a flexed position for long periods.
✅ Carrying your child on the same side creates muscle imbalances.
✅ Looking down at your phone while holding a baby compounds the strain.
✅ Poor sleep and stress can make tight muscles even worse.

You don't have to "just live with it" because you're a parent.

Addressing the underlying movement restrictions, muscle tension, and postural habits can help you move better, feel better, and enjoy life with your kids a little more comfortably.
