This was Jackson’s first time in a pool other than the one at Shepherd Center! 🥹☀️ What a blessing it was to watch him get in and out of the pool on his own(with some help). God is so good! 🙏🏼💙 We’re soaking up these sweet moments and thanking Him for every little victory! 🌊 Jackson said the water with a little vitamin D was great!

As a quadriplegic, Jackson hadn’t really gotten his heart rate up or done cardio yet. So this week they tried this to get his cardio in and it worked!!! His arms have come so far ❤️ Thank you beyond Therapy at Shepherd Center!

Our family is coming on Sunday! 🙏❤️ Jackson and I miss Jason (Dad) and his sisters so much. ❤️‍🩹 We haven’t seen them since the 4th of July, and we’re so grateful we’ll finally get to be together again.

This visit means more than words can say. In the past 19 months, our family has spent about a year in the hospital apart. That is so much time apart, so we’re especially thankful for these moments together. 🥹❤️

Please join us in praying for safe travels for everyone and for a beautiful, time together as a family.🙏❤️

Thank you all for continuing to love, pray, and support us through this journey. It means everything. ❤️‍🩹

I don’t think people realize what it’s like to survive separated that long as a family 😭 All the things missed.

Today was just an okay kind of day. One of those days with some ups, some downs, and a lot in between.

First thing this morning, Jackson tried the Evo Walkers on both legs. They’re kind of like a stimulation system that helps encourage his legs to fire and work toward walking. It went pretty good. His legs were definitely working, but they got tired very quickly afterward. Even though it made things fire better, it took a lot out of him.

After that, he worked on his core using his ArcEX, and his legs just kept spasming. It’s hard to watch his body do things that he has no control over. I included a video of the spasms below.

Then he had to go to an urology appointment, a thing most 19 year olds never have to think about or deal with. It’s just another part of this journey.

By the time he got back to the apartment, he was exhausted and spent the rest of the day resting in bed.

Just another day of ups and downs, progress and setbacks, hard work and exhaustion. We keep taking it one day at a time and celebrating the little things, even on the days that feel just “okay.”

It won’t let me do a clip and photos at the same time. A fun day out at Atlantic Station. We went to see Spider-Man and then grabbed dinner at Yard House. Jackson, walked the whole way! I always bring the wheelchair with just incase.

And seeing his posture get so much stronger from therapy makes moments like this even more special. So proud of how hard he’s working and how far he’s come! ❤️

One step at a time, and Jackson is making every single one count.

He works out in the weight room every day he doesn’t have therapy, and even on therapy days, he’s still asking to get in the gym. He’s determined to get stronger, and his dedication never stops.

Every night after dinner, he asks for his arm crutches so he can walk from our apartment at Shepherd Center to the 4th floor to visit his nurses. When I asked him why he wanted to make the walk every evening, his answer was simple: “I want to make sure I tire my legs out before bed.”

His determination is inspiring. He continues to choose hard things, celebrate every victory, and keep moving forward with perseverance. Every workout, every step, and every challenge he takes on is another reminder that progress is happening.

We are so proud of you, Jackson. Thank you to everyone who continues to pray for him, encourage him, and cheer him on. Your love means more than you know. ❤️

Here’s a video of Jackson putting in the work in the gym. The best is still ahead.

We’re finally getting into the swing of things with Beyond Therapy at Shepherd Center! 💙 Jackson is settling into our new routine, and now that we have a little more free time, we’re excited to get out and explore Atlanta this time around!

So, give us all the recommendations! 🙌 What are your favorite places to eat, things to do, or hidden gems around the area? Send them our way! 😂

The last time we were here, Jackson was so sick that we spent almost all of our time inside the hospital. It feels so good to be able to get out and make some memories together.

Last night, we headed to Atlantic Station for dinner with our new “Aunt Kelli.” ❤️ We call her that because she’s basically adopted us as family. 😂🤣 Thank you, Aunt Kelli, for treating us to such a fun evening!

Tonight, we made the trip to Woodstock, GA, where the Tochterman family welcomed us into their home for an amazing dinner. Chef Eric made homemade fettuccine, yes, even the noodles were made from scratch! 🤤 Along with steak, it was absolutely delicious.❤️ It was so special connecting with another FCA Hockey family, especially since they had been in Boston at the same time we were there last month. It really is a small world!

Here’s a photo of us tonight after dinner.

Last but, not least people have been asking for the new mailing address while we are here it is:

Share with people in Ga maybe they want to hang out ❤️

We made it to Shepherd Center! 💙

Jackson has been working so hard. The first two days were filled with evaluations, and yesterday and today marked his first days of therapy. We’re so proud of the determination and strength he’s already showing.

Here’s a video of some of his workouts. He is working on jumping in the end! Thank you all for your continued prayers and support. God is so good! 🙏😊

I had a great week at True Grit camp. Working on learning to be independent again and making life long memories.
