Member Spotlight 🌟 Valerie Bovy, CPhT, LPN
❤️ Val is the co-owner of Reinbeck Pharmacy and Parkersburg Pharmacy . She says helping patients through difficult moments and building meaningful relationships are the most rewarding aspects of her work.
🤝 Val values the connections she’s made through IPA and appreciates the opportunity to network with pharmacy professionals across Iowa, exchange ideas, and learn from others’ experiences. She also credits IPA’s Pharmacy Day on the Hill with helping her better understand the legislative process and the importance of advocating for the profession.
⚾ Outside of pharmacy, Val is active in her community. She coaches youth sports, serves on the school’s PTA committee, fills in as a school nurse when needed, and teaches fitness classes at her local gym.
🌤️ In her free time, Val enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, whether walking, hiking, biking, or exploring new places. She also enjoys reading and attending country music concerts.
