🩺 What's Trending?

We're keeping an eye on the illnesses and conditions we're seeing most often in our offices right now. While trends can change from week to week, staying informed can help you recognize symptoms early and know when it's time to seek care.

Remember, we're here when your child needs us.

💜 Walk in or save your spot online.

Foodborne illnesses can happen year-round, which is why it’s important to stay informed when outbreaks occur.

What is Cyclospora?
A parasite spread through contaminated fresh produce.
It is not spread person-to-person, meaning your child cannot catch it from classmates or siblings.

While news of an outbreak may feel concerning, knowing what to watch for and when to seek care can help your family feel prepared.

Important reminder: This situation is evolving, and recommendations may change as investigators learn more. If you have concerns about your child’s symptoms, don’t hesitate to contact your pediatrician or visit us.

If your child is experiencing severe symptoms or a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.

The wildfire smoke may impact your child's breathing quality, especially when the outdoor temperature is already very hot.

If your child is experiencing an asthma flare-up, persistent coughing, wheezing, difficulty breathing, or other respiratory symptoms related to poor air quality, our pediatric experts are here to help.

PM recommends limiting prolonged outdoor activity and closely monitoring infants and children with asthma or other respiratory conditions closely. If you have concerns, we're here when you need us. 💙

As parents, we all know that kids never seem to get sick or hurt during regular office hours. 😅

I recently toured the new PM Pediatric Urgent Care in Crofton, and I was impressed by how welcoming and kid-friendly the space is. They can treat everything from everyday illnesses and injuries to stitches, X-rays, lab work, and more—all in one place.

I really appreciate being able to book online, and for those unexpected moments, walk-ins are welcome too. Anything that helps make an unexpected sick day a little less stressful is a win in my book.

Have you ever been to a PM Pediatric Urgent Care location? I’d love to hear about your experience in the comments! 💙

Children are not just little adults, especially when it comes to injuries. 💜

Kids need more than smaller equipment, they need providers trained specifically to care for growing bodies and anxious little hearts.

At our pediatric urgent care, we provide:
🩺 Specialized pediatric injury care
🤝 Communication and collaboration with your child’s pediatrician to help ensure continuity of care
🩻 X-rays reviewed by pediatric radiologists
💊 Pediatric-specific medication dosing
✨ A warm, child-centered experience

We care for the whole child, not just the reason for the visit.

A lot of families start summer wanting to give kids a real break, and that makes sense.

But once the school-year routine disappears, some kids start having a harder time. Bedtime slips, screens become a battle, and everyone feels a little more on edge.

Usually, the answer is not filling every hour. Kids do not need a packed summer. But they usually do better when the day has some shape to it.

Save this for your mid-summer reset, and head to our blog for more practical ways to create a summer routine that works for your family. Link here: https://hubs.ly/Q04n_bTY0

Fireworks are a fun part of summer celebrations, but they can also cause serious injuries, especially in children. Even sparklers can burn at extremely high temperatures and cause painful injuries.
