Neptune Cleveland Service Manager Aimee Norman was honored to attend the Wave of Light Cleveland in recognition of Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month and Baby Loss Awareness Week.
This worldwide tradition brings people together to light candles, creating a wave of light that circles the globe. Each flame represents a precious life, a love that will never fade, and a little one whose memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who love them. During this time, names are spoken, memories are honored, and families are reminded their babies will never be forgotten.
“The room was filled with both sorrow and a quiet sense of peace. There was something incredibly powerful about being surrounded by people who understood the depth of loss, each carrying their own story, their own heartache, and their own love,” Aimee said. “As someone who has experienced loss, attending this gathering was deeply meaningful to me. Sometimes, we try to tuck our pain away and move forward, hoping that time will make the hurt a little easier to carry. But there is healing in sharing our stories, strength in standing beside one another, and comfort in knowing that our grief is seen, understood, and held with compassion. Every name spoken, and every candle that was lit, was a reminder that even the tiniest lives leave deep imprints on our hearts.
“My heartfelt thanks to Birthing Beautiful Communities for inviting us and for creating such a meaningful space for remembrance, connection, and healing. Thank you for reminding us that even in our darkest moments, there is comfort in the community and light in knowing we do not have to walk this journey alone.” ❤️
