This week, we're celebrating the heart of our building—our incredible STNAs!
From spinning the prize wheel for fun goodies like lottery tickets, candy, and candles to enjoying
a sweet ice cream treat, we wanted to show just a small token of our appreciation for all
that they do.

Day in and day out, our STNAs show up—morning, noon, and night—to provide exceptional
care and support to our residents. They are the backbone of our care team, ensuring
residents' needs are met with compassion, dignity, and dedication.

Their commitment never goes unnoticed, and the truth is simple: our building could not operate without them. The care, comfort, and quality of life our residents experience each day are made possible
by these remarkable individuals.

Thank you for the countless ways you go above and beyond to provide comfort, dignity, and
exceptional care to those we serve. We appreciate you today and every day!

Did you know that Alzheimer's disease is not a normal part of aging?

While occasional forgetfulness can happen to anyone, persistent memory loss that
disrupts daily life may be an early sign of Alzheimer's or another form of dementia.

Some common early warning signs include:
• Memory loss that affects daily activities
• Difficulty completing familiar tasks
• Confusion with time or place
• Trouble finding the right words during conversations
• Changes in mood, personality, or judgment

Brain Awareness Month is a great reminder to support brain health through physical
activity, social engagement, mental stimulation, and routine healthcare visits.

At our Memory Care Unit, we are dedicated to providing a safe, structured, and compassionate environment for individuals living with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia.

Through personalized care, meaningful activities, and specialized support, we help residents maintain dignity, purpose, and the highest quality of life possible.

Together, we can raise awareness, support families, and create a community that
understands the unique journey of memory loss💜

Speech therapy became especially important after World War I, when specialists helped soldiers regain communication skills after injuries — helping shape the speech therapy profession we know today👂🩵

We wrapped up Nursing Home Week with the perfect ending — a fun-filled mini pony parade that brought so many smiles to both our residents and staff💐🐎

Throughout the week, staff members who were “Bloomin’” and going above and beyond
received raffle tickets to enter into our themed basket giveaways. It was such a blast celebrating
our team and drawing all of our lucky winners today!
Thank you to every employee who made this week so special through your compassion, teamwork, and dedication.

Nothing says Nursing Home Week like getting our hands a little dirty and our hearts a little fuller 💛

Residents and staff came together today to pot flowers, decorate planters, and create something beautiful side by side. From bright blooms to creative designs, this activity brought lots of smiles, laughter, and springtime fun to our community🪴🌷
