We were honored to welcome Dr. Kim Hyun from Mend Clinic in Seoul and her husband, Dr. Song, to Comprehensive Dermatology Center of Pasadena.

Dr. Hyun was Dr. Gaspard’s treating provider during her recent visit to Korea, and it was a pleasure to return the hospitality by showing them our practice here in Pasadena.

Honored to be part of the inaugural AMI Ignite at the new Allergan Medical Institute in Irvine.

This week marked the launch of this exciting educational program designed to help train the next generation of aesthetic injectors. It was a privilege to teach alongside Dr. David Saadat, working with dermatology and facial plastic surgery residents on injection anatomy, technique, and the art of achieving natural, balanced results.

The day was filled with thoughtful discussions, hands-on education, and live patient treatments. There is nothing more rewarding than sharing knowledge with physicians who are passionate about advancing the field of aesthetic medicine.

What’s worth the space in your bag when traveling in France? 🇫🇷

Dr. Gaspard gives us her go-to favorite products when browsing the pharmacies in Paris.

Some of her favorites include:

European Sunscreens
This is the biggest reason to shop in France. European sunscreens use newer UVA filters that provide exceptionally strong protection against long-wave UVA—the wavelengths most associated with photoaging and pigment disorders like melasma. The textures are also remarkably elegant, making daily use much easier.

A313
A cult-favorite retinoid ointment that has earned a loyal following. It’s potent, so I recommend introducing it gradually, especially if you’re new to vitamin A.

Cicaplast Baume B5+
One of the best barrier-repair creams available. I recommend it after cosmetic procedures, during retinoid adjustment, or anytime the skin barrier has been compromised.

Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré
A classic French moisturizer that functions beautifully as both a moisturizer and a makeup primer.

Bioderma Sensibio Micellar Water
Still one of the most effective and gentle micellar cleansers for removing makeup and sunscreen without disrupting the skin barrier.

Caudalie
If you’re already a fan, France is the place to purchase it. The savings alone make it worth stocking up.

Bottom line:
If you’re visiting France, don’t spend your skincare budget on products you can buy anywhere. Invest in formulations that are genuinely different—especially European sunscreens. Those are the products that offer the most meaningful advantage.
