We often think growth happens by learning new skills. Sometimes, it begins by realizing someone else understands your experience.
Peer groups create opportunities to practice communication, build meaningful connections, and learn alongside others who may see the world in similar ways. For neurodivergent teens and young adults, those shared experiences can foster confidence, self-understanding, and a sense of belonging. That’s why we’re so excited to introduce our PEERS group for teens and young adults at ResWell. We look forward to creating a space where participants can connect, grow, and support one another. If you’d like to learn more, we’d love to hear from you.

Perfectionism isn’t the pursuit of excellence. It’s often the pursuit of safety.
Many teens don’t fear making mistakes because they dislike mistakes. They fear what the mistake might mean. “I’m not smart enough. I’ll disappoint someone. I won’t be enough.”
That’s why simply telling a child or teen, “It’s okay to make mistakes,” isn’t always enough. They don’t just need reassurance. They need experiences that teach them that mistakes are survivable.
Every unfinished drawing, every erased sentence, and every activity they avoid is communicating something. When we become curious about the message beneath the behavior, we create space for growth instead of shame.
In our Compassion and Grit Group, we help teens build the confidence to take healthy risks, tolerate imperfection, and discover that their worth was never meant to depend on getting everything right.
Because resilience isn’t built by avoiding mistakes.
It’s built by learning that you can recover from them.
