We recently rolled up our sleeves to help our community stay healthy through offering Drive-Thru Flu Shot events at both of our ER 24/7 locations!

Community members simply drove up, received their flu shot and were on their way - all without ever leaving the comfort of their vehicles. Quick, convenient and focused on keeping our neighbors healthy this flu season.

We're proud to care for our community both inside and outside the walls of our hospital. A big THANK YOU to our amazing colleagues who helped make these events a success and to everyone who drove through to see us!

Each year colleagues across the country are recognized with the HCA Healthcare Awards of Distinction, the highest honor HCA Healthcare can bestow on employees, physicians and volunteers, recognizing extraordinary individuals who exemplify our organizational culture and values. Awards include the Frist Humanitarian Award recognizing the highest achievements in serving others, and the Excellence in Nursing Award recognizing the highest levels of performance in the field of nursing.

We proudly announce that our nursing colleague, Isaac Martinez, has been awarded the Excellence in Nursing Award - Professional Mentoring. Isaac's competitors included nursing colleagues from the greater HCA Healthcare network. He was nominated by a peer for excellent performance in his commitment to the success of his fellow nurses.

"We are fortunate to work alongside colleagues who lead with compassion, inspire through their actions and make a lasting difference in the lives of so many. Their impact extends far beyond what is often seen or recognized," said CEO Yasmene McDaniel.

For many people with blood cancer or other serious blood disorders, a blood stem cell or bone marrow transplant can offer hope — and it often starts with a donor.

According to the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), most patients who need a transplant don’t have a fully matched donor in their family and rely on NMDP (formerly Be The Match) to help find one. NMDP ℠ is a global nonprofit leader in cell therapy that helps save the lives of patients with blood cancers and disorders.

As part of HCA Healthcare, we're proud to support this life-saving work through the Sarah Cannon Transplant and Cellular Therapy Network — one of the nation's leading providers of unrelated bone marrow donor transplants in the U.S. Each year, this extensive network helps connect tens of thousands of patients with the care they need.

You could be someone’s match. Learn more and join the registry at https://bit.ly/4z5kBa5.

When Annistyn was born at 22 weeks and 2 days, weighing just 415 grams, or 14.6 ounces, she was admitted to our Level IV NICU at The Woman's Hospital of Texas, where she would spend the next 260 days receiving specialized neonatal care.

Her mom, Kelsey, remembers the neonatal nurses who stood beside their family throughout that journey. “They were there for us on our most difficult days, and they never gave up on Annistyn,” she shared.

Today, Annistyn is starting PreK3 and Kelsey, inspired by the nurses who cared for her daughter, is in nursing school with hopes of becoming a NICU nurse herself.

This , Annistyn and Kelsey’s story is a meaningful reminder of the lasting impact NICU care can have on a family. Read more: https://bit.ly/4yndytC
