Emerging Hope in Dementia Care 🧠

Recent research highlights the growing role of transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) in understanding and treating dementia. TMS is a noninvasive brain stimulation technique that allows clinicians to assess brain function—specifically neural connectivity, plasticity, and excitability—offering valuable insight into how dementia progresses.
Beyond diagnosis, TMS shows promise as a therapeutic tool. Repetitive TMS (rTMS), particularly when combined with cognitive training, may help improve memory, language, and overall cognitive function—especially in the early stages of conditions like Alzheimer’s disease.
While more research is needed, these advances point toward a future of more personalized, targeted interventions for patients with cognitive decline.
