NAMI SGV is a nonprofit advocacy and support group for mental health, dedicated to the eradication of stigma towards mental health and increasing education and advocacy. Severe mental illnesses include neurobiological disorders such as: Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder (formerly manic depressive disorder),major depression, OCD (Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder),and anxiety disorders. June is Men’s Health Month! This month is all about encouraging the men in your life (including you, men out there!) to take care of their bodies by eating right, exercising, and working to prevent disease. The official symbol for the month is a blue ribbon and the purpose of Men’s Health Month is to heighten the awareness of preventable health problems and encourage early detection and treatment of diseases including cancer, heart disease, and depression.

NAMI San Gabriel Valley está organizando una Clase de Familia a Familia que comenzará el sábado 6 de junio de 2026 de 1:00 PM a 3:30 PM a través de Zoom.

Familia a Familia es una clase educativa para familias, parejas y amigos de personas con condiciones de salud mental. Facilita una mejor comprensión de las condiciones de salud mental, aumenta las habilidades de afrontamiento y empodera a los participantes para que se conviertan en defensores de sus seres queridos.

Como muchos de los graduados de la Clase de Familia a Familia saben, la clase es muy beneficiosa para los participantes. Por favor, comparta esto con sus amigos y familiares.

NAMI San Gabriel Valley is hosting a Family to Family Class starting on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 from 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM in-person in Pasadena.

Family to Family is an education class for families, partners, and friends, of individuals with mental health conditions. It facilitates a better understanding of mental health conditions, increases coping skills, and empowers participants to become advocates for their loved ones.

As many of the Family to Family Class graduates know the class is very beneficial to the participants. Please share this with your friends and family members.

NAMI San Gabriel Valley will stop hosting the monthly Fire Peer Support Group for those affected by the LA Fires. The last meeting will meet on Tuesday, June 16.

Since the devastating fires in the Los Angeles area, these gatherings will provide an opportunity to process ongoing challenges with understanding facilitators—many of whom have firsthand experience navigating similar hardships. Support group schedules may be adjusted based on interest and need.

Today! NAMI San Gabriel Valley's Faith based family support group is for family members, friends, congregation leaders, and others who have someone they care about living with mental illness. We are here in fellowship for mutual support and to share ideas and resources. We recognize that mental illness is a disease that affects individuals and families physically, emotionally, and spiritually. All religions are welcome to attend.

We meet every third Tuesday of the month from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM. We will meet at Fair Oaks Renaissance Plaza Community Room 649 N. Fair Oaks Ave. Second Floor #203, Pasadena, CA 91103.
