Congratulations, D.A.D.S. Cohort 5 graduates! 🎓

With many of our patients being fathers working on rebuilding relationships, we are proud to have a partnership with the D.A.D.S. (Dads Are Dependable Solutions) group, a program that helps men strengthen relationships with their children, learn life skills, improve mental health, and build a community. Impact's Re-Entry Specialist, Rudy Martinez, serves as the Assistant Executive Director at D.A.D.S., and many of Impact’s patients have participated in and graduated from the program.

Shoutout to Pasadena Police Chief Gene Harris for your powerful words on fatherhood, and thank you to the D.A.D.S team for facilitating this transformational program!

We are excited to announce that Impact will be honoring the USC Dornsife Prison Education Project with the "Inside the Box" Award at our upcoming Gala!

Through the Prison Education Project, USC professors have been teaching college-level courses to individuals in our residential treatment program, opening doors to higher education that many never imagined possible. Today, we had the pleasure of hosting Pasadena City Councilmember Jason Lyon and District 7 Liaison Pam Thyret at Impact.

Pasadena has been our home since 1971. It's where our roots were established, and where they continue to grow through the partnerships we form.

We're incredibly grateful to Jason and Pam for stopping by. Here's to many more years of working hand-in-hand to make a positive impact on the population we serve!

Park Day is a special one for Impact patients! Games, sunshine, and BBQ — what could be better?

In case you didn't know, all of our patients head to a local park every other week to enjoy a day outside.

Whether they want to play baseball or lounge in the sun with a book, a little bit of fresh air goes a long way. Not only is it healing, but it also showcases the freedom and fun that can be had in recovery.

Shoutout to our kitchen staff, especially Chef Marcus, for their hard work preparing and serving burgers and dogs for everyone.

At Impact's Residential Treatment Center in Pasadena, our heavily utilized dining hall not only hosts breakfast, lunch, and dinner for patients and staff daily, but also serves as a gathering space for group sessions and meetings. This vital hub requires specific structural and operational considerations to accommodate the hundreds of people who rely on it each day.

Recognizing this, we undertook the "Where Recovery Gathers: Dining Room Renewal Initiative," a transformative project that was generously funded by the Pasadena Community Foundation (PCF).

The ceiling and ventilation system were in dire need of an upgrade to ensure the space remained welcoming and functional. Thanks to PCF’s support, we replaced 1,300 square feet of ceiling tiles, installed four new 2'x2' AC vents, upgraded two 2'x2' intake AC filters, and replaced 15 lights. These enhancements have brightened up our dining room and made it more equipped to handle the high traffic it experiences daily.

We extend a heartfelt thank you to the Pasadena Community Foundation for their invaluable contribution. Their support has allowed us to greatly improve this space for our patients and staff, and for that we are truly grateful.
