Celebrating Excellence in Investigations & Community Partnership

The Pasadena Police Department was honored at the 2026 Centurion Awards for Excellence on Thursday, September 24, at the University of Southern California, receiving recognition in two categories that reflect the dedication of our personnel and the strength of our community partnerships.

• Excellence in Investigations – Multi-Agency
Lieutenant Edgar Sanchez was recognized for his work with the Burbank Police Department L.A. IMPACT Group 1 for their relentless efforts to remove deadly narcotics from the streets, dismantle illicit financial networks, and counter emerging criminal methodologies.
• Excellence in Community Partnership
The Pasadena Police Department was also recognized for its collaboration with Impact Drug and Alcohol Treatment Center, an exceptional partner that works closely with Chief Gene Harris and the Department to strengthen public trust, enhance officer training, and support compassionate, community-centered policing.

These recognitions highlight two important aspects of public safety: strong investigative partnerships that help keep our communities safe and meaningful collaborations that strengthen the relationship between law enforcement and the people we serve.

Last week, 220 Impact staff members from across our residential, outpatient, and sober living sites gathered at Brookside Park to celebrate our annual Employee Appreciation Day! With about 50 more people than last year, Impact has grown tremendously. It's important for us to stop for a moment to show gratitude for everyone's hard work and celebrate our accomplishments. Thank you all for changing lives.

Did you know that running helps people in recovery to relieve stress, improve physical and mental health, and reduce cravings? 🏃🏃‍♀️

The Impact Mules Running Club along with several Impact staff had a great time participating in Grandview Foundation’s 5th annual Run for the Health of It 5K on August 16th! We are proud to support them in building awareness, community, and funding for their recovery programs.

Congratulations, D.A.D.S. Cohort 5 graduates! 🎓

With many of our patients being fathers working on rebuilding relationships, we are proud to have a partnership with the D.A.D.S. (Dads Are Dependable Solutions) group, a program that helps men strengthen relationships with their children, learn life skills, improve mental health, and build a community. Impact's Re-Entry Specialist, Rudy Martinez, serves as the Assistant Executive Director at D.A.D.S., and many of Impact’s patients have participated in and graduated from the program.
