Is pain or injury holding you back from training or doing the activities you love?

Most people think rest is enough until they return to being active again. What many miss is the preparation that your body needs to seamlessly recover to the activity. This may include the prerequisite mobility, strength, endurance, power, and motor control to tolerate the demands of your activity. Skipping the adequate preparation of these qualities after an injury can potentially be a large contributor to reinjury or recurring pain.

How do you know what you’re missing that’s contributing to your limitations?

Get a thorough evaluation today to get started on feeling and moving your best!

We’re excited to announce a new physical therapist to our team!

Meet Frederick (Freddy) Viray, who specializes in orthopedic rehab and performance training. He believes excellent rehab includes establishing a strong therapeutic alliance between patient and provider. This foundation is built through clear communication, meaningful connection, thorough patient education, and individualized treatment. He seamlessly bridges the gap between rehab and performance through his training as a physical therapist and certified strength & conditioning specialist. His treatment philosophy blends movement analysis and progressive programming to help patients become their strongest and most resilient version of themselves.

Freddy earned his Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science from California State University Long Beach. He then spent 3 years completing his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree at Azusa Pacific University. Following graduation, he completed an Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency with Kaiser Permanente at Baldwin Park Medical Center, where he advanced his clinical reasoning, movement analysis, communication, and overall clinical expertise.

Freddy will be serving new clients in our Pasadena location and we’re thrilled to have him play a role in helping you get back to thriving in the activities you love.

Dealing with foot or leg pain while running?

Don’t assume it’s plantar fasciitis or tendinitis. It might be coming from the nerves of your leg. We have nerves such as the peroneal, sural, and tibial nerve that can radiate pain to these same areas. This nerve irritation can be contributed by altered running mechanics such as delayed push off or a lack of pelvic stability.

If you’re tired of not having a clear direction for recovery, get a thorough examination today for a treatment plan that’s tailored to you and your goals!
