At The Owl’s Nest Massage Therapy, I am making an important shift in how I approach deep tissue massage treatments.

Over time, “deep tissue” has become associated with excessive pressure and pain. While many clients believe that more pressure equals better results, I have found that this approach is not always the most effective for long-term healing and can also place significant strain on my body as a therapist.

Moving forward, my deep tissue sessions will focus on fascia release techniques, therapeutic bodywork, and intentional targeted treatment rather than forceful pressure. Fascial work allows the body to release tension more naturally and effectively, often creating longer-lasting relief without unnecessary discomfort.

My goal is to provide treatments that are both effective and sustainable — for your body and mine. You can still expect focused work for chronic tension, pain, and restricted movement, but with an approach that supports true healing rather than simply “pushing through pain.”
