David M. Lapierre
David M. Lapierre, 57, of Attleboro, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2026, surrounded by the family he loved so deeply.
He was the beloved husband of Rachael (Dube) Lapierre of Attleboro, with whom he would be celebrating 32 years of marriage. Together, David and Rachael built a beautiful life centered around family, friendship, and making memories. They especially loved their weekend trips down the Cape, spending time in Chatham and visiting one of their favorite places, The K**b.
David was the proud father of his two daughters, Kayleigh Maxwell, her husband Zachary Maxwell, and Georgia Lapierre-McGovern and her husband, Ryan Lapierre McGovern.
David is the beloved Son of the late Leo and Linda Lapierre he also leaves behind his brother Steven Lapierre of Attleboro and Nieces, Beth Linehan and Breanna Esposito, and his Nephew Dominic Esposito. Above all else, David was a devoted husband, father, brother, family man, and friend whose presence was larger than life.
David spent much of his life at Stone E Lea Golf Course, where he proudly served as a third-generation owner of the Lapierre family golf course. Stone E Lea was so much more than a business to him. It was home. David could rarely be found sitting behind a desk. Instead, he was usually somewhere on the property working with his hands—maintaining the course, fixing equipment, helping in the clubhouse, solving whatever problem needed to be solved, or simply talking with the golfers who had become like family over the years. His hard work, loyalty, humor, and unmistakable personality helped make the course the welcoming, blue-collar, family-oriented place that generations of golfers came to love.
Although golf was his livelihood, David also genuinely loved the game. Every Wednesday, he looked forward to playing in his golf league, enjoying the competition, friendships, and camaraderie that came along with it.
Away from the course, David had a lifelong love for racing, fishing, bowling, snowmobiling, and skydiving.
David also believed deeply in giving back to others. He was a tremendous supporter and rider of the Pan-Mass Challenge and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, proudly supporting the riders and the mission to raise money for cancer research and patient care. He also had a special place in his heart for The Special Olympics, welcoming and giving them a home course at Stone E Lea and was also a supporter of The Homebrewed Theater Company and the people who made it so special.
David never needed recognition for the things he did for others. Helping people was simply part of who he was.
Those who knew David will remember his work ethic, stubborn determination, generosity, sense of humor, and his ability to make people feel at home. He loved fiercely, worked tirelessly, laughed loudly, and gave more of himself than he ever expected in return.
David leaves behind a legacy that cannot be measured only in years, scorecards, races, or rounds of golf, but in the countless people he welcomed, helped, supported, and loved along the way.
He will be deeply missed and forever loved by his family, friends, the Stone E Lea community, and all those fortunate enough to have known him.
His funeral will be held on Friday, August 28, 2026, at 9:45 a.m. from WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, Coyle Drive, Seekonk. VISITATION will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2026, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m.
