Thanks to Dr. Russ Harris for sharing this: “I thought that some of you may find this helpful – it’s a picture-based ACT self-help book called “ Doing What Matters in Times of Stress”. The WHO have just released it with the hope it will be widely used to help people cope with the Corona crisis (it’s deliberately written in a transdiagnostic way, so you can use it with any type of DSM disorder - using the 'choice point' as the central framework) - and there will shortly be many translations into other languages.
A big thank you to Australian cartoonist, Julie Smith who transformed my original childish stick figures into the delightful illustrations you’ll see here, and also to Claudette Foley for her invaluable input into this final version.
A bit of a background: you may have seen the WHO’s first study on the use of ACT in refugee camps - published in The Lancet in January. The WHO asked me to write this book at the same time as I was working on the refugee camp protocol. In some camps they’ve used the book as a standalone, and in others they’ve used it as an adjunct to the main protocol.
Anyways, the WHO have just now released the English language version - so anyone, anywhere can freely use it and share it.

Here’s hoping you and your clients find this useful; please share widely. (Note: as this is a private group there's no FB share option; you'll need to copy and paste this into a new post - or just copy the link and write your own message about it :))”
