Monday I tore my Achilles tendon and knew it immediately. A lot of thoughts ran through my head (can't walk, my first "big injury", I have a family - wife, toddler, newborn; can I work?, not getting surgery)

The first pictures don't look like much but you can see the small indention in the area of my Achilles.

Healthcare access in America is amazing and I can see at times maybe a little too easy to gain access noted by the frequent flyers in the waiting room.

Within 2 hrs I was in an ortho office with a boot and x-ray completed. MRI scheduled within the same week. Confirmed full tear and opted to cast and go NWB for the next 4-6 wks.
